Temojo Shilton, a Nigerian Student of Greater Tomorrow International College have Emerged winner of the Inaugural Edition of the Brit Properties Spelling Bee.
The Competition which was held in Ajah area of Lagos State Saw lots of young Spellers between the age of 8 – 12 showing off their spelling skills for a chance to win a plot of land worth N1.5 Million.
The last round of the competition, a spell-off round saw spellers spell as many words as they can in a minute. The winner, Temojo Shilton was able to Spell 10 out of 13 words in a minute correctly.
At the end of the contest, three students of Greater Tomorrow International College, wins the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively. They include
Temojo Shilton: 1st position (A plot of Land worth 1.5 Million Naira)
Temojo Newton: 2nd position (500k)
Mike-Adeyeri Goodness: 3rd position (300k)
Some of the words encountered by the spellers include parsimonious, Onomatopoeia, Quintessential, Xenophobia, Sanctimonious,Syllogism, Vicissitude, Antipathy, Antediluvian, Apocryphal, Apotheosis, Dyspeptic, Ebullient, Kleptomania.
