The Canada National Super Spelling Bee is one of the leading Spelling bee Competitions in Canada. The Competition was founded in 2018 and operates as a Non-profit Organization, promoting English Literacy through unique school-based programs.
The Canada National Super Spelling Bee spans across several other countries beyond Canada. Just like the Scripps National Spelling Bee, Spellers from USA, India and China also participates in the competition.
The Competition is opened to spellers from grade 1-8.
Indian Kheddar Aryan won Last Year’s edition after successfully spelling the word “pneumatocele”
The 2025 edition of the competition is set to commence mid-July.
As this year’s edition grows nearer, here are five things to note:
1.There will be a total of 128 Spellers participating in the competition this year. The Spellers Span across India, USA, China and of course, Canada.
2. This Year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee Champion, Faizan Zaki will be Participating in the Competition
3. The Date and Venue of the Competition are as follows:
Date: July 19, 2025
Venue: Neapen Sportsplex, Hall A&B, 1701 Woodroffe Ave, Nepean.
4. The Competition will be Broadcast live on CBC Sports YouTube at 12:45 PM ET
5. The top 3 Spellers in the Competition will be awarded Cash Prizes while the top 10 Finalists gets medals. The First Placed Canadian School also gets a Plaque.
